Company DescriptionSunhero is a residential solar energy company on a mission to make access to clean, PV solar energy easy and affordable.
Sunhero was founded in 2021 by two entrepreneurs with over 25 years of experience launching companies in the international markets, including Airbnb, Rover, and Course Hero.
Sunhero is headquartered in Berlin, Germany, and Barcelona, Spain. We are VC-backed by leading European investors, including Speedinvest and All Iron Ventures, and have ambitious growth plans.We are looking for our first Head of People to join the company in a hyper-growth phase.
We are currently 60 team members and plan to double our size by the end of the year. You will have the unique opportunity to create a state-of-the-art HR organization for a mission-driven and remote-first company.

You will have a team of recruiters available and the opportunity to further hire for your People Department. This role reports directly to our COO & Co-Founder Stefan.Job Description:
- You will work with the founders to set up a strategy for creating an efficient and scalable HR organization in support of the overall Sunhero growth and development plan.
- You will lead strategy implementation and oversee the entire spectrum of People Topics (recruitment, on boardings, talent & development management, compliance, etc.).
- You will be driving the decision process and implementation of new software tools (HR Operations, recruiting, etc.).
- You will be overseeing Talent Acquisition and drive some key hire processes yourself.
- You will be working with department leaders and the founders to develop career paths, org design,
hiring plans.- You will be mentoring junior managers on leadership and interviewing techniques.- You will initially act as key POC for our team members for HR Operations topics.- You will be hiring your team members for the People Operations & recruiting function over the year.
Qualifications:
- You have significant experience in People leadership roles, ideally including in highgrowth, international startups.
You have a first-hand understanding of the way a startup operates at different growth stages to meet its objectives.- You have excellent knowledge of all aspects of People management and experience in (junior) leadership development.
- You have an in-depth knowledge of Spanish (and preferably international) Human Resource Processes, employment legislation,
and legal regulations.- You are a leader that inspires and put a strong emphasis on preserving and cultivating culture throughout the company's exponential growth.
