- Install and verify sensors and data acquisition systems as required for vehicle and component tests including accelerometers, potentiometers and pressure/force transducers among others
- Building electrical cables, repairing electrical connectors, and modifying electrical breakout boxes.
- Calibrating and maintaining testing instrumentation.
- Operate diagnostic equipment, hand tools, power tools, soldering iron and multimeter
- Inspect, troubleshoot, fabricate and repair instrumentation to ensure they function and measure properly
- Provide support to the test engineer in the use of Data Acquisition System (DAS) and instrumentation to install required sensors and successfully collect required data as outlined in the test plan
- Interface with Technologists, Product Engineers, and Supervisors on updates/new test procedures, equipment and methods.
- Verify the calibration and maintenance of test equipment and test systems
- Use defined procedures to perform the tasks
- Provide technical support to team members
- Maintain safe working practices and environment always considering the safety of yourself and other employees
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Qualifications
- Vocational Training with theoretical and practical studies related to the job
- Previous experience in similar tasks shall be welcome
- Strain gauge experience shall be welcome
- Able to understand written English
- Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and coworkers.
- Must have clear, concise and accurate communications, both verbal and written
- Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner.
