We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to join our team as a Vehicle Dynamics Testing Manager at Applus IDIADA. As a key member of our automotive engineering department, you will play a crucial role in guiding and inspiring our team to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Execution: Develop and implement plans for vehicle dynamics testing projects, ensuring timely and efficient allocation of resources to meet project goals.
- Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and motivate a team of test engineers, providing constructive feedback and assessing their skill levels to define training plans.
- Resource Allocation and Management: Collaborate with the head of the workshop to allocate resources effectively for each project, ensuring optimal utilization of assets and personnel.
- Procedure Development and Implementation: Define and supervise the implementation of working procedures, testing methodologies, and data analysis processes to ensure technical excellence and organizational effectiveness.
- Client Interaction and Support: Support the sales process by creating and disseminating presentations, papers, and webinars, and liaise with customers to understand and meet their needs.
- Commercial Offer Preparation and Review: Prepare, validate, and/or review project proposals and quotations to ensure alignment with company goals and customer requirements.
Requirements
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with over 6 years of experience in automotive development, preferably related to chassis and vehicle dynamics testing.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in vehicle instrumentation, test execution, and data analysis, with the ability to define resources and timing for testing activities.
- Driving Skills and Knowledge: High driving skills are an asset, with certification from an OEM or supplier preferred, and a good understanding of vehicle dynamics theory, especially related to full-vehicle performance.
- Leadership and Personal Qualifications: Excellent leadership abilities, characterized by collaborative communication, organization, team-working, and delegation, with a strong problem-solving disposition, a hard-working and flexible mindset, and proficiency in spoken and written English and Spanish.
