As a Quality Engineer, a typical day might include:
- Partnering with stakeholders in understanding problems and investigating root cause.
- Ensuring the implementation of effective solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Initiating and facilitating cross-functional meetings to address quality issues and brainstorm solutions.
- Facilitating internal/external audits and certification activities, as applicable.
- Acquiring and analyzing data using standard quantitative methods to facilitate process analysis and improvements.
- Planning, designing, and implementing tests to monitor quality using engineering principles.
- Other duties as assigned.
This job might be for you if you have:
- B.S. degree in Engineering, Math, Statistics, or other technical degree, or equivalent experience
- Typically, 2+ years of experience in quality engineering, process improvement, or data analytics
- Strong facilitation, organization, communication, project management and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of quality tools and process improvement techniques (FMEA, Six Sigma, PDCA, Lean Manufacturing, Control Charts, Histograms, Pareto)
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and applicable industry standards
- Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills in Spanish and English
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using metrology and statistical methods including statistical control of processes (SCP)
- Knowledge of probability/reliability concepts
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
- Knowledge of design, manufacturing, and service processes
