Mission

Systems Engineer for MIURA 5 launch vehicles and associated equipment and testing as well as future launch operations. This position is created to help PLD Space to grow in the area of engineering. The mission of this role is to contribute as Systems Engineer for PLD Space launch vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and managesystem and subsystem requirements, including verification techniques andinterface control.
  • Work proactively andcollaboratively with the engineering team and customer to identify, track,mitigate, and resolve technical/programmatic issues that may arise duringprogram execution.
  • Serve as part of theengineering focal points for mission requirements and exchange oftechnical information between subsystems on launch vehicles and payloads.
  • Assist with thedevelopment of design, integration, and test processes, procedures, andconfigurations for launch vehicles in concert with other engineeringdisciplines.
  • Provide support fordesign/analysis results level to technical team and program management.
  • Be part of launchvehicle Simulation analysis and other performance analysis across vehiclefunctions.
  • Assist with thedevelopment of test methods and plans according to defined requirements.
  • Support programplanning and execution including scope, scheduling, and resourceallocation.
  • Be part of CONOPSdefinition, upgrade and active implementation.
Necessary Requirements
  • Master'sdegree in Aerospace engineering, Electrical Engineering, MechanicalEngineering, Systems Engineering or equivalent.
  • +3years' experience with Systems Engineering SW tools for high reliabilitySystems Engineering design and processes.
  • +2years' experience with space systems, satellite, launch vehicles, etc.
  • Experiencemanaging technical budgets, requirements, V&V, AIT and plandefinition.
  • Expertisein Computer Aided Design (CAD) using industry tools such as Siemens NX.
  • Abilityto work with multidisciplinary teams in technical and programmatic areas.
  • Experiencewith space Launch Vehicle (suborbital or orbital).
  • Familiaritywith hardware test program requirements captured in industry standardsincluding ESA ECSS Standards, SMC-S-016, NASA-STD-7001, NASA-STD-7002 andGSFC-STD-7000.

  • Understanding of launch vehicle keysubsystems and their associated performance parameters.
  • Experience working with Government, NASA,ESA or commercial launch contracts.
