ACCOUNTANT
The context and the opportunity


We're seeking for an Accountant to be part of this exciting expansion and contribute to the ongoing success of QBE.

Your new role

  • Participate in periodical internal meetings, as required, in order to share and develop strategy, knowledge and best practice within your area of performance.
  • Manage the development of solutions to change requirements placed on the Finance function to ensure the successful delivery of objectives.
  • Comply with all legal and regulatory requirements to ensure obligations are met.
  • Contribute and manage the refinement of process, procedures and systems to continuously improve the efficiency of accounting activities.
  • Provide high level advice, guidance and information on financial matters to support decision making and improve understanding on financial management.
  • Manage the preparation and maintenance of accurate accounting records to meet business needs.
  • Manage the production of accurate financial returns required by internal and external bodies and regulators to meet reporting deadlines.
About you

Preferred competencies:

  • Strong proficiency in tax return preparation and submission.
  • Knowledge of relevant current statutory, legal and regulatory accounting requirements. Understanding of best practice accounting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to nurture and manage professional relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Proficient in utilizing Excel to streamline work processes and manage data effectively.

Preferred Knowledge:

  • Fluent English communication skills (oral and written)
