About this opportunity:

As the Product Development Manager, you will oversee software development, ensuring scalability, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

You report directly to the Head of SA CNS Engineering and accountable for technology evolution and LCM of the products, meeting roadmap goals and secure R&D efficiency.

Coaching, challenging, and developing individuals and teams is essential to foster continuous improvement. As a line manager, you promote Ericsson's values, ethics, and culture to ensure outstanding team performance.


The position is hosted in our Business Area BCSM CNS organization and the primary sites for the position area Malaga, Cairo and Bangalore.


What you will do:

  • Lead the development of our CSW 1 products EC-SON and SON OM, including setting technical direction, overseeing software architecture and design, and driving software development processes.
  • Actively contribute on the success of the entire CSW product portfolio development.
  • Hire, manage, and mentor a team of software engineers, architects, and developers and provide guidance in software development practices and methodologies. establishing and maintaining a software development culture that emphasizes collaboration, quality, and innovation.
  • Set clear expectations, establishing regular checkins and breakthroughs, and ensuring that the outsourced work aligns with the overall project goals and timeline.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Work closely with product management, sales, and marketing to define software requirements and ensure that products meet customer needs.
  • Develop and maintain software development processes and practices, including coding standards, code reviews, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
  • Ensure software is scalable, reliable, and meets security and performance requirements while staying up to date with technology trends.
  • Manage the resources and budget for the services delivery unit.
  • Manage suppliers

You will bring:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with integration of ML models into SW products
  • Knowledge in network automation, and Self Optimized Networks space, where understanding of network design, planning and diagnostics is preferable
  • Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills, including project management skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with the outsourced teams.
  • Strong knowledge of software development practices, including coding standards, code reviews, and CI/CD.
  • Excellent in English, both written and verbal
  • Experience with working with outsourcing and partners
  • Experience in inspiring change and transformation
