Marketing Automation Specialist

This is the role:
You'll be a valuable member of the Marketing Automation Team, focusing on developing email journeys and one-time sends using Salesforce Marketing Cloud. In addition, you'll engage with technologies like Personalization Studio and Orchestration Engine, crucial tools at Alexion. Expect to collaborate with global teams across Alexion, requiring excellent English communication skills.
The ideal candidate should have a solid background in working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, particularly in managing multiple journeys. Your role will contribute to driving company growth by implementing delivery capabilities to support Marketing and Commercial objectives worldwide. Responsibilities include overseeing project delivery, operations, and enhancing global processes and technology.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the implementation and maintenance of a marketing technology architecture that aligns with Alexion's omnichannel marketing approach.
- Participating in technical operations for Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce Personalization/Interaction Studio.
- Enabling digital capabilities and applications across Alexion globally.
- Collaborating with vendors and offshore teams to implement campaigns using agile methods.
- Offering insights on emerging marketing technologies and trends.
- Tracking ticket progress using Service Now and JIRA boards.
- Creating metrics reports to share with business partners.
- Conducting A/B testing, segmentation, and personalization to optimize email marketing performance.
- Contributing to a scalable marketing automation infrastructure with seamless integration.
Your qualifications should include:
- Bachelor's degree in MIS, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with IT/marketing tools.
- Demonstrated expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud operations.
- Knowledge of digital omnichannel strategies for marketing and commercial purposes.
- Proficiency in SQL and AMPscript.
- Familiarity with marketing analytics tools.
- Experience with agile methodologies and management of remote technical teams.
- Ability to work in a diverse, matrix organization.
We would like you to have:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Pharma or biotech industry experience is a bonus.
- Salesforce certification.
- Effective business analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Capability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Experience collaborating with global teams.
