We are seeking a talented and dynamic Plastics Purchaser to join our team in Spain.

  • Location: Zaragoza, Spain (onsite)
  • Start date: From September 1, 202
  • Duration: 1218 months (as per eligibility criteria for a V.I.E)
Tasks


As a Plastics materials purchaser, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing purchasing strategies for virgin, off-grade, recycled, and scrap plastics.

You will focus on purchasing material from Spain to be sold internationally. You may also have opportunities to cover additional products.

Reporting to the Spain Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for purchasing plastics in different Spanish regions, from identifying new business opportunities to negotiating contracts.


Your primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Execute purchase strategy to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers.
  • Coordinate logistics with our head office.
  • Prospect in Spain to recruit new suppliers, possibly Portugal as well.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers for recurring business (frequent interactions, travels and attending exhibitions).
  • Recommend future business strategy by studying market trends and other industry players.

Requirements:

  • 13 years of experience in international trade/purchasing.
  • Knowledge of the polymers industry, with specific experience in the trading market being a plus.
  • Proficiency using a CRM system and Google Suite.
  • Selfdirected, organized, and demonstrated ability to develop longterm business relationships.
  • Language Proficiency: Spanish and English (language of work); additional languages such as French, Dutch, or others are a plus.
