About the Role:

Grade Level (for internal use): 09 The Team : The Quality Engineering team collaborates with other Technology Functions and the Business to ensure high-quality delivery of products.

The team operates in an Agile environment and is globally distributed.

The team has autonomy in making decisions and is accountable for enhancing customer experience, driving revenue growth, and facilitating operations through efficient and high-quality product development processes.


The Impact:

As a QE, you will be tasked with creating innovative solutions to test applications across various platforms such as Web, Windows, Mobile, API, and Services. Additionally, you will be responsible for devising effective data comparison techniques. Your main challenge will involve accelerating product "time to market" while upholding quality standards by embracing automation and fostering innovation. This role will expose you to a diverse set of technologies and enable you to collaborate with different internal teams.

Responsibilities Research, design, and implement efficient automation/performance frameworks, including testing tools and automated test suites that govern the entire development cycle for our product platforms, spanning various Web, Services/APIs, and database technologies.

Develop and execute testing strategies based on project requirements, create and execute test cases, analyze and present test results to stakeholders.

Collaborate with development teams, actively participate in architecture and design reviews, identify issues, and propose enhancements to ensure timely delivery of business functionality with the required quality.

Effectively communicate with key business stakeholders, including non-technical audiences and senior executives, facilitating cross-functional coordination and collaboration. Conduct risk analysis for complex projects, prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion of critical deliverables. Analyze quality assurance data and metrics to derive insights, draw conclusions, and propose improvement solutions. Develop action plans to implement initiatives, introduce new ideas, and promote best practices.


Basic Qualifications What We're Seeking: 4 years of experience in software testing and test automation/performance, with a strong and demonstrable grasp of software development and testing principles.

Proficiency in programming using Python/Java or similar languages. Expertise in designing and implementing automated testing solutions for enterprise applications across different application layers (UI/Service/Data layers), collaborating with developers to create automation/performance-friendly code/components. Experience working with SOAP and REST services, and a solid understanding of SOA architecture. Familiarity with distributed source control systems like ADO/Git. Proficient in RDBMS and SQL/PL-SQL, adept at writing queries, stored procedures, and scripts. Exposure to BDD and automation/performance in Agile methodology is highly advantageous. Sound knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS/Azure, and experience in testing microservices, containers, and dockers is a plus. Proficiency in formulating test strategy, test plans, and test cases, engaging in Exploratory Testing, generating and analyzing Defect Reports, and conducting root-cause analysis. Ability to identify performance/load/stress testing requirements, plan and execute tests using appropriate tools, and analyze metrics. Experience collaborating with the Development team to capture and re-use automated unit test cases and other development test artifacts. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a track record of delivering effective documentation and presentations. Excellent project management skills, including task prioritization, progress tracking and reporting, and ensuring on-time delivery.

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills. Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred. Preferred Qualifications Enthusiasm for or experience in Data Science/Machine Learning is advantageous. Experience with Databricks, SnowFlake, S&P Global adheres to a Securities Disclosure and Trading Policy aimed at mitigating conflicts of interest by monitoring and imposing restrictions on personal securities ownership and trading activities. The Policy is designed to ensure compliance with global regulations. In certain Divisions, as per the Policy's requirements, S&P Global may request candidates to disclose their securities holdings.
