Principal Piping Designer
Company: International company based in Barcelona is seeking a dedicated Principal Piping Designer to oversee all technical aspects concerning piping design within Oil & Gas projects.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Takes full responsibility for the design tasks of an assigned unit.
- Reports directly to the project piping leader.
- Understands and applies all necessary job specifications, piping classes, standards, and operational instructions required for the successful completion of assigned tasks.
- Provides guidance to and supervises a designated design team.
- Executes the most critical designs and mentors less experienced designers.
- Collaborates with other experts involved in the projects (civil, stress, materials, supports) and oversees interconnections.
Requirements:
- Must hold a Bachelor's or Technical Degree.
- At least 6 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Prior experience in firms offering engineering services to the Chemical, Refining, or Petrochemical sectors.
- Proficient in E3D, AutoCAD, and Microstation.
- Fluency in Spanish and English and/or French.
Estimated Duration: Approximately 12 months, with the possibility of extension.
