EIT Urban Mobility is an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union and Europe's largest network for transport innovation in cities.

Our mission is to accelerate change towards a sustainable model of urban mobility and liveable urban spaces. We connect public and private actors and provide them with access to markets, talent, finance and knowledge.


Using cities as living labs, our industry, research and university partners will demonstrate how new technologies can work to solve real problems in real cities by transporting people, goods and waste in smarter ways.

About Innovation Hub South:

EIT Urban Mobility is divided geographically in 5 different Hubs. One of them is the innovation Hub South that covers the European Mediterranean with headquarters in Barcelona.

Be part of a team where:

Event support

  • Assist in planning and delivering events (hybrid, digital and inperson). Planning and executing assigned aspects of special events. Attend EIT Urban Mobility events when necessary (some travel may be necessary).
  • Prepare content and participants for the Hub's panels, round tables and keynotes.
  • Support with administrative tasks (budgets, invoices, etc).

Communications activities

  • Support the implementation of the communication plan and the social media strategy
  • Assist in writing communications, including letters, newsletters, social media, web content, invitations, and reports. Contribute in content creation, editing and proofreading
  • Review our company's communications materials and check the content for the grammatical and stylistic error
  • Research and develop new ideas for Web/social media content
  • Research/produce collateral materials as directed.
  • Media monitoring
  • Assistance in collaboration with external PR agencies. Updating media contact list

Network engagement and growth

  • Support the evolution of the Hub's Country strategies by conducting desk research market intelligence, draft reports and prepare visual presentation materials
  • Assist in growing and strengthening partnerships relations
  • Support the scouting and mapping of national and regional funding opportunities in the mobility sector
  • Ad hoc administrative assistance

What you will bring along the way:

Must-have:

  • A University Degree in the fields of communications, marketing or social media.
  • Written and spoken English (C1).
  • At least 1 year experience performing the tasks of the job description
  • Communication skills: capable of simplifying complex messages and providing visually engaging materials
  • Exploring new ways and tools of using digital formats for communication effectiveness
  • Motivation to work in a fastmoving, innovative, multicultural and sometimes ambiguous environments

Nice-to-have:

  • Professional experience in urban mobility or related industries
  • Command of Spanish and/or further additional EU languages.

Kindly note that this is a
permanent and full-time position and it is
based in Barcelona.

Possibility to homework 2 days a week.
