Description


We are looking for a Head of Engineering to lead the IBE team reporting directly to the Managing Director, Newshore and matrix line to the CTO.

The Newshore Engineering team develops a specialized SaaS ecommerce solution for airlines, enabling them to become leading digital retailers of travel products by providing an excellent Customer Experience.

FLYR solutions are low-code, allowing for the quick implementation of new products, campaigns, and promotions.

They also facilitate A/B testing experiments, data collection of metrics, and integration with various Passenger Service System (PSS), payment methods, and other business partners.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate crossfunctionally with Product teams and internal stakeholders to drive the engineering efforts
  • Champion engineering and operational excellence, establishing metrics and processes for regular assessment and improvement
  • Build and retain a worldclass engineering team through mentorship, guidance, and career development
  • Create a strong engineering culture that attracts talent
  • Scale the organization by fostering autonomous teams

Requirements:

About You

  • Deep understanding and expertise with Public Clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • 8+ years of leadership experience in software development
  • Proven track record in creating, motivating, and growing teams
  • Extensive experience working with distributed teams
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and nonengineering stakeholders
  • Strong technical background in building and managing infrastructure at scale
  • English speaking
