ROLE SUMMARY:

  • Kensington School is a coeducational, independent, British School in Spain, housed in purposebuilt campus in the suburbs of this dynamic and attractive city._
  • Around 1100 students between the ages of 18 months and 18 years are registered here. The school offers the English National Curriculum up to the age of 14, after which children can opt to follow an IGCSE programme, or the Spanish National Curriculum. Our student body is predominantly Spanish, although with a growing international component. The school is authorised to offer the I.B. Diploma programme. We are characterised by a warm, friendly ethos, a close relationship with our families and the children in our care, and a commitment to academic and sporting excellence._

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inspired is seeking to appoint a
Teacher of Economics with Humanities to join us on 1st. September 2023 on a
permanent, full-time basis.

  • Teaching a fulltime timetable.
  • Planning and delivering a range of classes across Key Stages 3
  • Commitment and interest in group planning.
  • Tutorial responsibilities.
  • Willingness to take part in educational trips and visits.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience with Englishspeaking students in secondary education.
  • Confidence with use of ICT in teaching
  • Fluent level of spoken and written English
  • Previous experience with International Baccalaureate.
  • Previous experience in a highperforming international school
  • Able to set clear expectations and stretching goals
  • Adaptable teaching style incorporating feedback
  • Ability to judge learning effectiveness
  • Excellent preparation and planning
  • Assessment of student outcomes and feedback to enhance performance
  • Interest in curriculum development
  • Genuine care and attention for the highest standards of student welfare
