Senior Accountant

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join BESTSELLER SOUTH HUB in Malaga-Spain.

Responsible for key finance processes across several countries, the role will report into our Finance Team Leader and work closely with local teams and our team of specialists from Group Finance.

OUR TEAM

You will become part of our new SOUTH HUB team based in Malaga (Spain), a new function in charge of maintaining, developing, and ensuring high quality, efficient and relevant internal and external reporting for all the entities run by the SOUTH HUB.

It'll be a dynamic environment, proactive and collaborative, with a global mindset and willingness to improve internal processes.

Working in close cooperation with our international Group Finance function and local Business Partners, you will gain a Finance network to collaborate with.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITY

• As Senior Accountant for the SOUTH HUB, you will be a key team member on the set up and roll out of the new Finance function that can support growth globally.
• Responsible for key tasks during the month and year end close processes for the legal entities based in Spain, France, Italy and Portugal
• Prepare tools to complete more efficiently month and year end tasks for the HUB countries.
• Key contact with local Finance teams and build specific country business understanding
• Support colleagues through improvement of processes impacting daily bookkeeping of our Retail and Wholesale entities.
• Work closely with our Group Finance Solutions team in Denmark to help designing and implementing improved Global solutions in our finance platforms (SAP and NAV)
• Collaborate with the other HUBs and Finance community to identify areas to gain efficiencies.
• Be the initial point of contact for colleagues on process and system queries, providing first level support to the HUB.
• Complete internal controls documentation

YOUR PROFILE

As Senior Accountant and Superuser you take responsibility for getting the job done, collaboratively works to deliver high quality information on tight deadlines, and take pride in providing solutions.

You are open, honest and cooperative, and you contribute actively to create a positive and dynamic working environment. You are excellent at building relationships across the business, thrive with freedom under responsibility and motivated to see results. You have proven experience of at least 5 years as Accountant, including process standardisation and optimisation. You have good knowledge of processes and systems and a curious mindset. Being fluent in spoken and written English is a prerequisite (French, Italian and/or Portuguese will be an advantage). Knowledge of SAP/Finance and/or Navision will be an advantage.
