IT Presales Consultant - Network and Internet of Things (IoT), at Drees & Sommer, Malaga, Spain

As a Pre-Sales Consultant focusing on Network and Internet of Things at Drees & Sommer, you play a crucial role: bridging the gap between potential and reality, between our sales team and our clients. You are the mastermind behind tailored digital solutions, creating a cutting-edge and bespoke catalog.

Your tasks

Manage the entire sales pre-cycle from qualification to implementation team handover. Support and maintain the pre-sales process throughout the sales cycle. Facilitate scoping meetings to understand the prospect's business challenges. Identify the necessary internal resources, such as industry experts and client advocates, to ensure success. Develop a value-based approach to address the prospect's business issues, including defining success criteria. Collaborate with the sales team to define the scope of proposed solutions and deliverables. Optimize proposed solutions to enhance implementation team success and meet prospect requirements. Create customer-facing documentation, presentations, and proposals in collaboration with sales and marketing. Provide input on value-based ROI proposals.

Technical Proficiency

IoT Platform Proficiency: Work extensively with platforms like Sierra Wireless, PTC, and Cisco. Smart City Services Design: Create services for more liveable and efficient communities, including Emissions Monitoring, Micromobility Solutions, Smart Buildings, Waste Management & Public Safety. Scalable Cloud Infrastructure: Offer cloud-based storage, computing resources, and network connectivity for IoT deployments. Tailored SaaS (Software as a Service) Applications: Propose customized SaaS apps for smart city management. Edge Computing Solutions: Design solutions processing data closer to the source. IoT Connectivity Solutions: Provide connectivity options for IoT devices, including cellular networks (4G, 5G), LPWAN, and satellite communication.

Your profile

Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent training and experience. Minimum 7 years overall experience in Implementation, Project Management, Operations, Sales, and/or Solutions role. Minimum 5 years' experience in Management Consulting preferred. Proven & verifiable track record of successful leadership. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Genuine team player and leader who will complement the existing team whilst driving growth and continuous improvement.
