The Position:

National consultant:
GBV Information Management for Sub-Sector shall be based in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh.

Under the overall guidance of the Head of Sub Office, the incumbent directly reports to the GBV Sub-Sector Coordinator in Cox's Bazar.


The purpose of the consultancy is to fill in the gap for the Information Management Analyst role for the period till the new Analyst gets on board, recruitment for the fixed term IM Analyst is ongoing.

Job Purpose:

With the support of the GBV Sub-sector Coordination team and under the direct supervision of the GBV Sub-sector Coordinator, the

National Consultant:

GBV Information Management for Sub-Sector will be responsible for managing the data collection and monitoring and evaluation functions for the GBV Sub-Sector Coordination unit.

This includes providing training to UNFPA and GBV Sub-Sector partners on ethical and safe data collection and management to fulfil reporting requirements of the GBV sub-sector.


At the sub-sector's request, the incumbent will also support the GBV Sub-Sector in the tasks required for UNFPA to lead and engage in the assessment for feasibility of GBV IMS, or another related inter-agency information management system.


You would be responsible for:

1) Provide data and information to support strategic planning.

  • Compilation and submission of monthly 5Ws in line with the Inter Sector Coordination Group (ISCG) guidelines.
  • Monthly Cash for Work Volunteer list update as per the ISCG IMO instructions.
  • Monthly/quarterly Service facility mapping, partners presence and gap analysis.
  • Monthly verification and update of the contact lists for GBVSS, Dignity Kit Task Team, and GBV Information Management System Task Team
  • Quarterly GBV risk monitoring data collection and coordination across GBV camp focal points and Subsector members.
2) Building and Sustaining partnership

  • Represent the GBV subsector in the monthly/bimonthly IMAWG meeting.
  • Actively participate in the GBVIMS Task Team meeting
  • Monthly update of GBVSS partner Focal Points list and mailing list.
  • Monthly update of GBV Focal and alternate points
  • Monthly update of referral pathways, along with the National Field Coordinators and GBV Camp focal points, including the GBV subsector referral pathway and linkage to Protection referral pathway through updating GBV camp focal point info.
  • Monitor and update Dignity Kit supplies and distribution in collaboration with GBVSS National Field Coordinators.
  • Provide technical support to referral pathway IM issues, including eReferral Pathway (eRPW).
  • Participate in GBVSS monthly meetings and assist in IMrelated tasks.
  • Assist in necessary IM support to facilitate service facilities audits to ensure GBV minimum guidelines are adhered to by GBV subsector partner agencies.
3) Lead and provide data management, analytical and reporting support to GBVIMS.

  • Coordinate GBVIMS data collection from Data Gathering Organizations (DGOs) across GBV Sub-Sector.
  • Update the GBVIMS Information Sharing Protocol (ISP) to relate to the current context.
  • Manage the GBVIMS partner onboarding checklist, and support the partner onboarding organization assessment, checklist and ISP signing.
  • Support the rollout of GBVIMS+/Primero version 2 and ensure agencies are well equipped to start implementation.
  • Produce quarterly, annual GBVIMS reports/ factsheets based on Data Gathering Organizations (DGOs), FGDs and KIIs analysis.
  • Facilitate GBVIMS Task team quarterly meetings and GBVIMS Task Team's work plan formation and implementation.
4) Technical leadership in terms of GBV Information Management

  • Support on compilation of PiN, Target, budget requirement for the Joint Response Plan (JRP) 2025 onwards, including Peer Review Team support, alongside the GBV subsector coordinator.
