Job Description

Scope and Objectives

As Assistant Director of Leisure Sales, your role is crucial in driving business growth and implementing sales strategies tailored to the leisure segment. Acting as a brand representative, you will collaborate closely with our GSO network and leisure partners to maximize opportunities and maintain our prestigious reputation. Reporting to the Director of Sales, your primary responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to:

  • Developing strong and productive business relations to achieve leisure rooms revenue targets
  • Effectively communicating the hotel image to existing and potential customers
  • Promoting hotel offerings, rates, and promotions actively
  • Identifying high-demand periods and creating targeted offers
  • Conducting in-depth market analysis to recommend strategies for staying competitive
  • Driving leisure sales through various channels like wholesalers, retailers, and consortia
  • Participating in site visits, familiarization trips, and representing the resort at events
  • Contributing to sales action plans and ensuring timely submission of administrative reports
  • Collaborating with the sales team to explore new markets and develop proposals
  • Maintaining CRM records and providing insights in sales and revenue meetings
  • Overseeing proposal management and upholding standard operating procedures
  • Pursuing new sales opportunities and fostering relationships with stakeholders
  • Mentoring the leisure sales team and ensuring high guest satisfaction levels
  • Utilizing CRM daily to enhance sales practices and manage portfolios effectively
  • Promoting cross-departmental communication to address guest feedback

Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of the Regional luxury market
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in leisure sales within a luxury hotel or resort
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Experience with Opera preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Team player with a supportive approach
  • Accounting knowledge with analytical capabilities
  • Highly organized, results-driven, and guest-service-focused
  • Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales goals
