The Sales Manager Defense & Space is responsible to develop and maintain business relationships with customers, prospects and other relevant stakeholders for our clients with in the defense and space sector in Spain. In this role you will drive sales acquisition and act as linking-pin between the customer and internal departments to ensure the achievement of sales- and profitability targets.

Main responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain meaningful long-term relationships with existing and prospected customers and stakeholders with the Defense & Space sector.
  • Analyze current- and future market trends, identify and further develop new and prospected customers, define and execute sales plans and maintain relevant information in CRM system.
  • Identify new investment projects on the market in context of sales- and mutual profitability growth.
  • Analysis of potential the customer segments to develop and execute a sales plan.
  • Identification and further development of new customers or projects.
  • Capture customer needs and support the development of solution concepts with end customers, planning offices and/or system providers.
  • Represent the company to the customer and act as linking-pin between the customer and the relevant internal functions; participate in acceptance tests (FAT or SAT).
  • Collaborate with Engineering on the preparation of quotations.
  • Work closely with other sales teams to support the acquisition of Energy Transition projects.
  • Represent the company on conferences, trade fairs and customer events as well as in project reviews.
  • Structured provision of all required information for the FAE teams.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal industrial relations.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably supplementary studies in Sales Management.
  • 5+ years of Sales experience in the field of Space and Defense industry.
  • Ideally coming from the power electronics or batteries sector.
  • Knowledge of commercial and contract law, specification of project orders.
  • Knowledge in the field of contract negotiations.
  • Proficiency in English ideally.
