- Develop and maintain the firmware running on INGENIA Servo Drives.
- Implement new feedback interfaces, advanced motion control algorithm and state of the art communication protocols.
- Handson new hardware board bringup, system debugging and code optimization.
- Work closely with hardware team to help with component selection and design. Review hardware schematics and datasheets.
- Review and improve external documentation for INGENIA products (Product manuals, Datasheets, etc.).
- Improve internal documentation for INGENIA products (Architecture, Detailed Design, etc.).
- Define, in conjunction with Software Quality Assurance team, the Test Plans for INGENIA products.
- MS o PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or technical related discipline
- Minimum experience 1 year
Minimum requirements:
- Very strong C including C in resourceconstrained embedded environments.
- Fluent in software fundamentals including software design and maintainability.
- Fluent in Microprocessor Baremetal development with realtime constrains.
- Experience with MCU peripherals : I2C, SPI, CAN, USB, UART, GPIO.
- Experience with hardware bringup and troubleshooting. Understand schematics and use of lab. instruments is a must.
- Experience in software testing procedures.
- Expertise with GIT, Jenkins, JIRA and other software development tools
- Fluent written and spoken Spanish / English.
Nice to have requirements:
- Experience with Object-Oriented Design (C++)
- Experience using RTOS
- Knowledge of Software Coding Standards (i.e. MISRA, etc.)
- General Motion control knowledge (motors types, feedbacks, controls, etc.).
- CANopen communication protocol.
- Industrial Ethernet communication protocols (EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, Profinet)
- Previous experience in motion control, robotics, lab or medical automation markets will be highly appreciated.
The position requires the following skills and abilities:
- Strong communication skills to be able to collaborate and present solutions clearly
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced team environment
- Occasionally travel as needed (domestically and internationally) to customers for support and/or installation.
- Mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer.
- Ability to use vison to read computer screen and read printed materials.
