Senior Firmware Engineer

As a Senior Firmware Engineer at UNODETRES Ventas y RRHH, you will play a key role in developing low-level MCU firmware crucial to our 3D printing technology. Your responsibilities will include collaborating on software architecture definition and creating firmware from scratch, perfecting routines, interfaces, and data collection processes. You'll be responsible for enhancing our real-time communications and data collection systems, contributing to the robustness and efficiency of our additive manufacturing solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Implement Low-Level MCU Firmware: Design and develop firmware for industrial AM ecosystem, ensuring seamless integration with hardware.
- Collaborate on Software Architecture Definition: Work with cross-functional teams to define software architecture, ensuring efficient and scalable solutions.
- Implement Sensor Data Gathering and Strategies: Design and implement sensor data gathering and strategies to relay information to CPU components.
- Define and Implement Internal Shared Memory Interface Protocols: Develop and implement internal shared memory interface protocols between CPU and MCU.
- Collaborate with Print Process Engineers: Work with Print Process Engineers to define and implement printing routines to reduce printing times.
- Support Engineering Teammates: Provide technical support to Engineering teammates on the development of process workbenches and prototypes.
- Uphold Standards of Excellence: Ensure that all firmware development tasks meet Supernova's standards of excellence and innovation.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 Years of Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing firmware for different microcontroller architectures.
- Programming Languages: In-depth knowledge of C/C++ programming languages for MCU systems.
- Real-Time Operating Systems: Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Communication Protocols: Familiarity with various communication protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, CAN).
- Electronics and Hardware: Understanding of electronics and ability to work closely with hardware teams.
- Debugging and Integration: Proficiency in debugging and hardware-software integration.
- Version Control Systems: Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git.
- Unit Testing and Automated Testing: Experience with unit testing and automated testing frameworks for embedded systems.
- CI/CD Practices: Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices for firmware development.
- Documentation: Ability to document firmware design and development processes clearly.
- Collaboration and Communication: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.
