Context And Mission - The datacentric computing group from the computer science department at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center searches for 1 Research Senior Engineer on Machine Learning Operations and High-Performance Computing, willing to work on MLOps research and support for research in a EU project, for the course
Key Duties
- Assist on research projects, experiments, technology deployments.
- Participate on research production (papers, publications, demos and prototypes).
- Assist of PhD Students on HPC topics.
- Contribute to collaborations with different international research partners
- Give mutual support to other researchers in the project and research group.
Requirements:
- Education
- M.Sc. on Computer Sciences, Computer Architecture or equivalent.
- Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience on the field.
- Preferable Ph.
- Domain on Data Analytics, High-Performance Computing and Federated Learning topics.
- Scientific papers (conference and journal) preparation, publication and dissemination
- Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
- Basic skills on Big Data platforms and technologies (Spark, Ray, Flink, etc...)
- Skills on Data Analytics, Distributed machine learning and databases
- Skills on Cloud Computing technologies and Serverless.
- Skills on Reproducible Research (Notebooks, GIT, etc...)
- Understanding of high performance computing and distributed system concepts
- Competences
- Good English communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in the context of a team/project
- Flexible work schedule and available for travelling
Conditions
- The position will be located at BSC within the Computer Sciences Department
- We offer a fulltime contract (37.5h/week), a good working environment, a highly stimulating environment with stateoftheart infrastructure, flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, support to the relocation procedures
- Duration: Openended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration
- Holidays: 23 paid vacation days plus 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement
- Starting date: April
