ICN2 is seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Engineer to join our NanoBiosensors and Bioanalytical Applications Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for building a pre-commercial prototype of a POC nanophotonic biosensor for advanced diagnostics, which is in the process of technology transfer and eventual commercialization.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and engineering of lab-on-a-chip cartridges incorporating novel multiplexed nanophotonics sensors and innovative polymer microfluidic systems.
  • Integration of a compact reader that includes all optical, fluidic, and electronic subsystems and a user-friendly software interface for decentralized and automated operation.
  • Full characterization and evaluation of the cartridges and optical reader for IVD regulatory application and implementation in clinics.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Physics or Engineering (optical, electrical, telecommunications).
  • Background in photonic sensors or integrated optics.
  • Experience in the design and implementation of experimental optical setups.
  • Excellent level of English (Fluent in writing and speaking).
