JBT Foodtech Spain is looking for our next

Intercompany Accountant to join our team. The position is based is Madrid but working direclty for our North Amercica SSC.


The Intercompany Accountant is responsible for providing intercompany accounting, supporting the completion of the close, and ensuring that the intercompany account balances are accurate and reflect the proper amounts.


The Intercompany accountant is as well in charge of maintaining subledgers updated, by following up on invoices outstanding for not having any unjustified aged balance.

Disputes between counterparties need to be monitored based on our Accounting Standards for avoiding any audit issue or Tax risk.


Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support multiple entities for intercompany accounting
  • Prepare preliminary and final intercompany reconciliations
  • Assist in the month end, quarter end and the yearend close process
  • Posts Intercompany/Interdivisional journal entries on both sides for crosscompany enabled locations and to one location if not crosscompany enabled
  • Prepares payments and takes care of intercompany collections.
  • Investigate unreconciled intercompany related activity and disputes between counterparties.
  • Perform data balancing activities.
  • Provide audit support related to Intercompany activity.
  • Continuous improvement initiatives based on KPIs monthly reporting.
  • Participates/Leads Global Intercompany projects.
  • Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company's discretion.

Qualifications:

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance, with 3+ years of related professional experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in Intercompany Accounting is a plus.
  • Experience in accounting and financial systems
  • Experience in Foreign Exchange / Multicurrency calculations
  • Experience in Record to Report process improvement
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

Languages:

  • High Level of English mandatory

Mobility:

  • Position based in Madrid (San Fernando de Henares)to work for our North America Shared Service Center
  • Limited travelling within European Union or USA might be required
