Job Opportunity: Principal Platform Engineer at Fresco

Fresco is on the lookout for a Principal Platform Engineer to join our IoT Team. We need someone with expertise in Python and AWS to spearhead the development of the next generation of our smart kitchen platform: the Fresco KitchenOS. As a leader in the IoT and guided cooking realm, Fresco delivers award-winning experiences for appliance manufacturers, recipe creators, and home chefs.

Key Responsibilities:

Architectural Vision: Define the technical roadmap for Fresco KitchenOS IoT Platform to ensure scalability for millions of users. Mentorship: Guide and inspire your team to deliver top-notch engineering solutions. Partnerships: Collaborate with diverse teams to seamlessly integrate KitchenOS. Innovation: Foster a culture of creativity and continuous improvement within the engineering department. Technical Expertise: Provide comprehensive technical knowledge across the entire platform, from firmware to APIs.

Requirements:

8+ years of experience in leading scalable distributed IoT systems. 5+ years of experience in managing secure IoT platform deployments. Leadership Skills: Proven track record of inspiring high-performing engineering teams. Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Python, AWS (including IoT Core, S3, DynamoDB, and Lambda), and data platform architectures. Security Focus: Strong commitment to building secure IoT platforms. Communication: Ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Innovative Thinking: Understanding of the competitive landscape and ability to translate vision into actionable plans. Continuous Learning: Enthusiasm for staying updated on new technologies. Language: Fluent English is essential.

Additional Qualifications:

Master's degree in computer science or related field. Experience in leading roles within high-growth tech companies. Proven success in innovation initiatives. Experience in mentoring junior engineers.
