Role Overview

This role presents a unique chance to join our growing risk engineering team and unleash your full potential. You will have the opportunity to actively contribute to shaping the future of our risk engineering processes, collaborating closely with underwriters and engineers across different offices to deliver top-notch services.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Offer risk engineering services for Property underwriters in Everest International offices, focusing on industries such as food, automotive, pharma, and light chemicals.
  • Support business growth by providing risk assessment and prevention services to enhance account retention.
  • Act as a valuable asset by backing client-specific sales strategies and activities.
  • Engage in risk management services, including client meetings, site surveys, and development of risk improvement recommendations.
  • Manage external risk consulting service providers.
  • Develop risk management structures and tools in collaboration with underwriting teams.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality work while meeting performance metrics.
  • Contribute to underwriting guidelines, research, and identify business opportunities.
  • Provide marketing support, including presentations and technical expertise.
  • Participate in planning sessions to address emerging issues and business opportunities.
  • Maintain relationships with key brokers and clients, and collaborate with different departments.
  • Stay updated on regulatory developments and provide technical updates to the team.
  • Collaborate with other Everest Engineers and Underwriters to enhance global expertise.

Candidate Profile

Skills & Abilities

  • Establish and maintain excellent internal and external relationships.
  • Stay informed on market trends and competitor profiles.
  • Possess strong negotiation and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrate a commercial mindset and effective communication skills.
  • Fluency in French and English, with additional languages being a plus.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Extensive experience as a Risk Engineer in the insurance sector.
  • Degree in chemical, mechanical engineering, or related field.
  • Strong presentation skills and proficiency in Microsoft products.
  • Ability to work with large accounts and underwriting partners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
