Ensures, together with the Deputy Production Management, compliance with the objectives of its area of responsibility.
Responsible for ensuring the implementation of the program formulation and execution processes, facilitating the work of the team in charge, to achieve the objectives of both signature and execution volume set by the Organization. His role mainly consists of planning all the activities of his team and ensuring the optimization of resources, and the implementation of the processes and systems of his area of intervention within the Production Department.
Closely monitors the status of project implementation in the missions, in direct contact with the Deputy Country Directorates in the missions.
Communication with other departments and with the field will be key to make work agile and flexible within the team and with the missions.
The main activities you will perform are the following:
Support to missions in the implementation of projects:
• Promotes decision-making to adapt the projects in the missions under its responsibility to the different execution challenges that may arise. Define and follow alert indicators that allow possible deviations to be corrected in time, particularly if they are related to achieving the volume objective to be executed.
• Actively participates in the definition of the design of tools and processes for planning and executing projects in missions.
• Leads the application of these processes and the use of the tools by the missions, in collaboration with the Deputy Country Directorates in the missions, in order to improve the supervision of execution in the missions in their area.
• Participates in the modeling of key tools and work processes in the implementation of programs.
• Coordinates support to missions in the design, management and preparation of proposals and contracts under their responsibility, ensuring, as necessary, the correct sending of proposals and reports to donors
• Controls and manages the risks derived from the execution of programs under its area of responsibility, in coordination with the rest of the departments involved. Participates in the selection processes of key profiles for execution, such as Deputy Country Directorates, Grant Managers and Grant Writers, Chief of Parties, Consortium Heads, etc. Supports the organization in compliance with donor regulations for ongoing contracts.
Supports, when necessary, the timely response to donor requirements and external audits, managed by the Audit and Quality Department. Ensures support to missions in the contractual management of projects, such as the review of MoUs and contracts with international and local partners, and coordinates the necessary legal consultations, the review of contracts with donors of the projects in their area of responsibility , ensuring its signature and supports the organization in compliance with donor regulations for ongoing contracts.
Manages the multidisciplinary team under his charge, ensuring, together with the functional managers, their motivation and professional development, and participates in the selection processes of his team. Plans, facilitates and monitors the work of the team that supports the missions under his responsibility. Establishes priorities ensuring the necessary support to the field for the execution of its projects. Ensures the functional link with the Deputy Country Directorates of the missions in their region. Facilitates the relationship between your team members and their respective functional managers
Does this description fit you?
• Accredited experience in project cycle management, definition of interventions and preparation of proposals, planning and implementation of projects.
• Knowledge of the humanitarian sector and field experience are essential. Availability to travel, in short periods.
• 3 years prior experience, including at least 2 years of field project management experience, and experience with international public donors
• Project cycle management, knowledge of institutional donors, budget monitoring, multidisciplinary team management. Knowledge of the organization’s work processes is highly valued. High knowledge of project cycle management software, budget management and tools for data analysis.
• Mastery of at least two languages between Spanish, English and French, having all three is highly valued.
