About the client:
Our client, a leading global solution provider, specializes in defense identity security. They develop and manage systems that control identities and reconcile biometric data collected for security purposes. Their solutions are crucial for national and international law enforcement agencies.
Role overview:
We are seeking a L2 IT Support Engineer for our client's AFIS/ABIS project in Madrid. This role involves managing data across Europe, supporting national and international police forces, and ensuring the smooth operation of identity management systems.
Key responsibilities:
Manage and maintain the AFIS/ABIS system, including fingerprint, ear, and eye print data.
Monitor and analyze application logs, ensuring technical support for law enforcement agencies.
Provide Level 2 and Level 3 helpdesk support.
Integrate and support backend systems, especially in a Linux, Apache, and PHP environment connected to SQL databases.
Ensure system data is visible and accessible to European police and Interpol, aiding in criminal tracking and record management.
Participate in the installation and support of software applications related to networks, systems, and cameras.
Maintain and submit programs for biometric data collection and analysis.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or similar field.
Demonstrable experience in level 2 technical support, preferably in security and access control systems (2-5 years min.).
Experience with Linux, Apache, PHP, and SQL databases.
General knowledge of networks and systems.
Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills.
