Optical engineer

We are looking for a candidate who has the following characteristics:

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS:

• Design and construction of optical/optomechanical systems for the development of new products in an R&D environment.

• Interest/experience in any of the following fields: Waveguide,holography, polymers , liquid crystal and light projection systems.

• Participation in all phases of development: specifications, design, construction, testing and integration.

• Carrying out studies on the state of the art.

• Creative conceptualization of integral technological solutions.

• Assistance in the formulation and drafting of patents.

• Attendance at fairs and scientific-technological events.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate in Physics or Engineering, specializing in Optics/Photonics or demonstrable equivalent experience or training (PhD will be prioritized).

• Work experience in R&D or optical and/or optomechanical design and prototyping.

• Experience writing scientific/technical articles or patents.

• Familiarity with optical laboratory instrumentation.

• Experience in experimental research.

• Experience in optical design software (Zemax).

• Experience in Matlab

• Fluency in English.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Experience or interest in AR/VR technologies.
