Our client, an international advisory firm focused solely on sustainability, offering unparalleled expertise across business and finance with more than 50 years of experience, is looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and talented Principal Consultant - Team Leader, Capital Project Delivery.FUNCTIONSWe are looking for a Principal Consultant - Team Leader with experience in Project Management and environmental impact assessment to join in the growing Capital Project Delivery team in Spain. The job will be offered as a full time, hybrid work with possibility to work from our Madrid or Barcelona office and remotely.
Key responsibilities include:
• Develop and manage Environmental & Social Impact Assessment studies/projects;
• Prepare, update and review technical documentations.
• Manage relationship with authorities, Clients and Contractors;
• Manage environmental critical aspects to ensure compliance with all applicable regulation with major emphasis on: IPPC Decree, EIA decrees, Permitting;
• Define, coordinate and implement Environmental monitoring plan;
• Identify and develop new project opportunities, prepare effective technical proposals and cost estimates, and maintain client relationships
• Ability and flexibility to work across a range of services and sectors including: oil & gas, power (including renewables) and manufacturing;
• Provide compliance assurance of impact assessment studies with applicable local legal and institutional requirements (IFC, EBRD,etc.);
About you:
A master’s degree in environmental engineering or environmental sciences or other relevant disciplines.
• 3-5 years of experience as Project Manager.
• Experience in people leadership.
• Ideally 7 years of experience in relevant fields such as consulting or environmental services, with specific focus on environmental permitting in Spain, EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) and/or Environmental Social Due Diligence.
• Familiarity with EHS National Environmental regulation and International Standard (IFC, EBRD, etc.)
• Proficiency in Spanish and English, written and spoken. French will be considered an advantage.
