Role Overview:

This role involves a combination of technical expertise rooted in structured methodology, analytics capability, business acumen and effective communication skills. Using your significant experience in similar projects, you will be working closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing and digital experience to optimize website performance and user experience. This will be a hands-on role where you will be expected to create and maintain documentation, implement scripts and maintain pipelines, collaborate with the business and delivery partners to ensure work is completed as required. The role includes Business Analysis incorporating requirements gathering and documentation for digital projects and enhancements, including gap analyses.

The role requires hands on demonstratable experience in Tag Management, Web Analytics, GA4, BigQuery and Tableau with associated certification. Extensive experience in Tag Management is essential, please do not apply if you do not have proven experience in this area.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Direction & Optimisation

• Executing the results of the recent Web Environment Audit and maintaining associated documentation and governance protocols going forward in line with the DX and Data Strategies now and as they change over time
• Introducing proven ways of working for website & digital marketing optimization and providing ongoing recommendations based on data insights to improve digital marketing campaigns
• Ensure alignment of digital initiatives with the organization’s goals and strategies
• Staying up to date with current trends and best practice and providing technical recommendations for ongoing enhancements.

Technical Implementation

• Defining and driving the implementation of the Tag Management Policy, collaborating with the development teams to implement tracking codes, tags and scripts and providing guidance on best practice ways of working to ensure re-usability and failover methods.
• Managing and optimizing the various tag management systems to ensure accurate data collection.
• Optimizing the current tag management policy to ensure data is representative of the organization’s processes as the web environment evolves.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to analytics implementation and tracking and manage the change control process.
• Project managing the tag management / data tracking implementation of the move between tech stacks as this is executed.

Business Analysis

• Gather and document business data requirements for digital projects and enhancements.
• Conduct Stakeholder interviews and workshops to understand business needs and objectives.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams.
• Perform gap analysis to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.

Data Collection & Analysis

• Implement & manage web analytics tools including GA4
• Maintaining responsibility for the end-to-end web data pipeline and creating associated documentation.
• Collaborating in designing the web data model so that user journeys and behavior can be effectively analysed to identify areas of improvement.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity through regular audits and validation processes

Reporting & Visualisation

• Delivering and interpreting actionable insights to stakeholders through the creation of dashboards and the ongoing proactive interaction with relevant individuals to contribute to a continual improvement roadmap.

Supporting SEO / SEM / UX

• In collaboration with the DX Department, support technical SEO audits.
• Support the DX and Marketing Teams, in analyzing SEM performance.
• Support the DX team in conducting usability testing to gather feedback to inform design and content decisions.
• Collaborating with UX/UI designers to enhance the website’s usability and user satisfaction evidenced by data.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, statistics, marketing, or a related numeric field required. Master’s degree preferred.
• Proof of coding certifications from an accredited organisation required to be submitted with application.

Experience

• In addition to other coding languages, a working knowledge of SQL is essential – including the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot on-screen in a workshop environment is essential.
• Experience with Google Tag Manager is essential.
• Experience in managing a GA4 > BigQuery > other data warehouse pipeline essential.
• Proficient in using Tableau for data visualization and dashboard creation.
• Extensive analytics experience and attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to finding solutions.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to engage confidently at senior stakeholder level
• Ability to work independently and also integrally as part of a remote team in a fast-paced environment.
