The Associate Director of Digital Integration will be the Capability Lead as well as Integration Architect for APIs and Enterprise Integration, overseeing management of MuleSoft Integration platform at Alexion. It is a key role in the Digital Integration practice. It involves fulfilling the growing integration needs of business, advancing and socializing the best practices for enterprise integration, ensuring streamlined system connectivity, managing and guiding teams to provide business services and new digital capabilities through the implementation and consumption of APIs.

You will be responsible for:

Leading the design, development, implementation and operational support of APIs and scheduled processes developed in MuleSoft. Upholding API Reusability as a central tenet in solution delivery. Inculcating API-as-a-Product mindset in the Integration delivery team. Collaborating with ITBPs to identify Integration needs for the project. Formulating the right approach and mechanism for Application Integration Collaborating with IT business partners and other stakeholders across the organization to ensure their business aspirations are built on a solid tech foundation of secure, scalable integration solutions. Partnering with Service Delivery Manager and System Owner to design the strategy and roadmap for continuous advancement of the Integration Platform Extending integration platform capabilities through the efficient utilization of complementary technologies/platform such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Twilio. Establishing and socializing best practices for enterprise integration architecture, breaking down silos and barriers to scalable enterprise application and data integration. Guiding and directing teams who are developing or utilizing APIs to provide business services, ensuring high-quality deliverables and efficient operational support. Monitoring the performance of our digital integration architecture, identifying opportunities for improvement, and driving the implementation of solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Setting up DevSecOps practices in the Integration area Managing vendor relationships and ensuring alignment with our objectives.

You will need to have:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field. Extensive experience with Integration platform, preferably MuleSoft. Strong knowledge of API design and development, as well as enterprise integration patterns and best practices. Demonstrated success leading and managing diverse, technical, globally distributed teams. Proven track record in vendor management. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

We would prefer for you to have:

Previous experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare and life sciences. Knowledge of AWS platform An understanding of the unique challenges facing the rare disease community and the significant positive impact that robust digital integration can have. Prior experience in a similar leadership role within a large enterprise. Exposure to project management methodologies like Lean and Agile. Passion for the latest technology trends and developments impacting enterprise architecture, data management and digital integration.
