We are hiring at Aspire Software for a qualified Financial Management Accountant with at least 3+ years of post-qualification experience in financial accounting and auditing of Spanish companies

The Financial Management Accountant will report to the Spanish Finance Business Partner at Aspire Software. The Financial Management Accountant will work with several entities within the portfolio and assist in the financial integration of new acquisitions. They will be exceptional entrepreneurial team players for our financial function.

The successful candidate will be based anywhere within commutable distance of our office in Barcelona, working in a hybrid work model

What Your Day Will Look Like:

  • Working closely with the Operations Departments within your vertical to understand their businesses and needs
  • Working closely with the Finance Business Partner to ensure group reporting and compliance is completed accurately and on time
  • Participate in quarterly P&L forecasts
  • Review revenue recognition and ensure accuracy
  • Analyse and discuss KPIs
  • Prepare ad-hoc analysis
  • Perform financial period close tasks and journal entries
  • Own Balance Sheet reconciliations and analysis
  • Own P&Ls, ensuring accurate and delivered on a timely basis
  • Participate in the completion of audit engagements and compliance requirements
  • Prepare VAT Returns
  • Cashflow and balance sheet forecasting and analysis
  • Assist in financial integration for new acquisitions
  • Participate in special projects and process improvements

About You:

  • Qualified Financial Accountant with at least 3+ years post-qualification experience in Financial Accounting or Audit of Spanish companies is essential
  • At least a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a similar discipline is essential
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • A genuinely curious mindset, capable of quickly learning new systems, and the desire to grow and develop over time
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
  • Resourceful and will take initiative
  • A team player who loves a challenge and wants to eventually ‘own’ their area of the business
  • Someone who is driven by life-long learning and continuous professional development
  • A detail-oriented self-starter who thrives on process improvement and solving problems
  • A first experience in Oracle NetSuite and PowerBI environment is a plus
  • Fast learner and adaptable – time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Fluent in Spain and have at least a professional level of English, both written and verbal, is essential
  • Legally authorized to work in Spain
