A Day In The Life

Evaluate requisition requirements and administer purchase orders to Suppliers. Manage purchase orders with Suppliers to support production requirements. Facilitate constraint reviews with Suppliers and escalate materials at risk. Address material shortages timely to minimize production impact. Analyze inventory to initiate inventory reduction opportunities. Analyze material requirements and make cost effective material management decisions. Review and release orders to efficiently secure material from outside vendors daily, expediting as necessary. Ensure on-time delivery from Suppliers and be point of contact for supplier on orders for purchasing related issues. Proficiently utilizes the ERP system to procure and expedite material and to reduce excess or slow moving inventor. Active engagement in NPI programs to ensure that requirements and schedules are clear. 

What will help you thrive in this role?

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related discipline. Minimum 2 years of Supply Chain and/or Sourcing/Supply Chain experience. Demonstrated negotiation skills.Experience with ERP systems.Must be highly flexible in working hours due to the nature of the suppliers’ geographical locations.
