Translation internship: Spanish-English

Tareas principales : 

Translating a wide variety of documents related to treatment and integration of people at social risk, especially children, families, young people, women and dependants. Usually, translations will be from Spanish into English, and from English into Spanish as well, corrected in coordination with the tutor.

Proofreading documents - either translated by the intern and corrected with the help of the tutor, or translated by others.

Supporting the tasks of the Research and Development, Communications departments, in the drafting, editing of new online and offline content.

Perfil: 

Knowledge and experience in translation.
Specialisation: translation from Spanish into English.
Creativity, versatility, high energy, initiative and discipline.
Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and determination to meet deadlines.
The knowledge of French language, and of justice, child rights and social issues would be a plus.
Good use of IT.
Able to work independently as well as being part of a team.
Sharp attention to detail when proofreading.
Education/Experience: Undergraduate/postgraduate students of Translation or Modern Languages, and recent graduates.

Periodo: 

Three available internship periods for 2024-2025: Sept 2nd-Dec 20th 2024; Jan 7th-May 30th 2025; and June 2nd-July 30th 2025.

Horario laboral: 

From 9:30 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Condiciones: 

No financial remuneration is offered by Fundación Diagrama.
The internship can also be carried out partially or fully online if the student is not able to travel to Murcia. Daily meetings will be carried out in this case.
