JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the direct supervision of the Marine Biodiversity and Blue Economy line manager the Programme Assistant will support IUCN’s work in the Mediterranean, with a specific focus in:

1) Support the implementation of the Marine Biodiversity and Blue Economy portfolio (estimated dedication 40%). This includes:

a)Support on the development of several activities of projects and initiatives of the working line
b)Support on the development of workshops and Capacity buildings
c)Carrying out financial, logistical and administration support.
Specific Tasks
-Establishing and maintaining sound and productive working relationships with IUCN partners involved in the projects.
-Writing of reports and documents related to the activities of projects
-Elaboration of communication material

2) Support the implementation of the agriculture portfolio (estimated dedication 40%) This includes:

a) Support on the development of several activities under the projects of the working line
b) Carrying out financial, logistical and administration support.

3) Other Support to Mediterranean Programme implementation (estimated dedication 10-20%).
Specific Tasks

-Support other departments in the office for emerging issues including event organization, contracts and relations with partners
-Undertake any other task/emerging issues at the request by the line manager. REQUIREMENTS • A degree (MSc) in Conservation Biology or related field.

• A minimum of one year professional experience.

• Knowledge of IUCN tools and Office.

• Proven skills on logistics and administration.

• Excellent editing and writing skills in English and French

• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Organizational skills

• Communication skills.

• Fluency in written and spoken English and French

• Valid EU workpermit SALARY The minimum gross annual salary for this position is EUR 26'710. While this is an indicative amount effective as of the current date, changes may occur as per IUCN's compensation practices without prior notice. The same applies to other organisations hosted by IUCN.
