Job Description

Due to growth and ongoing delivery success with our clients, Turner & Townsend's Digital Management division in Spain requires a Technology Requirements Specialist to join the team in Madrid.

Leveraging technology and digital ways of working Implementing robust governance frameworks for successful digital initiatives Streamlining project execution with advance technology and connected data Organizing project data and enabling automation. 

As a Technology Requirements Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying, analysing and defining the information and technological needs and specifications of projects. The role requires a candidate with excellent analytical and communication skills, understanding of construction project processes, technology solutions, and project management expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements gathering and analysis:

Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand their technology needs and objectives. Conduct detailed analysis of project requirements and specifications to identify information requirements and technology solutions that meet project goals. Create, specify and ongoing management of information and technology requirements across the project lifecycle.

Technology evaluation and selection:

Research and evaluate available technology solutions relevant to construction projects, such as Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, project management platforms, and construction automation tools. Assess the capabilities, features, and compatibility of different technology options to determine the best fit for specific project requirements. Facilitate discussions and decision-making processes to select the most suitable technology solutions for implementation.

Vendor management:

Identify potential technology vendors and partners capable of providing the required solutions and services. Collaborate with vendors to understand their offerings, pricing, and implementation processes. Support the Technology Integration Specialist in negotiating contracts and agreements with vendors to ensure favorable terms and conditions for project delivery.

Implementation support:

Provide subject matter expertise to ensure requirements are aligned to business needs and are feasible to deliver. Work closely with the Technology Integration Specialist and project teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of technology solutions.

Documentation and reporting:

Manage and maintain the information requirements repository, containing detailed documentation of technology requirements, specifications, and implementation plans. Generate reports and presentations to communicate project status, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders and senior management. Capture lessons learned and best practices for future reference and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Essential Skills & Experience

5+ years’ proven experience in information and technology requirements analysis, evaluation, and selection, preferably within the construction industry. Highly proficient in spoken and written English, with excellent command (Level C1 Advanced). Strong understanding of construction processes, workflows, and project management methodologies. Knowledge of construction-related technologies, such as BIM, CAD software, project scheduling tools, and construction management platforms. Microsoft Office skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with people at all levels and translate complex technical concepts and needs into information and technology requirements. Ability to develop excellent working relationships with the client and project team. Skilled in presenting to groups of stakeholders.

  Desirable Skills & Experience

Strong business analysis and project management skills to create, specify and manage information and technology requirements across the project lifecycle. Relevant certifications (, PMP, ITIL, CBAP). Understanding of Building Information Management (BIM) and Information Management, with working knowledge of the standards which define ISO19650. Understanding of cybersecurity principles and the ability to ensure compliance of systems with standards and regulations. Consultancy background, with experience in railway infrastructure projects. Knowledge of delivery requirements, quality management, and process improvement in complex construction projects.
