SmartAssets is on the lookout for an enthusiastic Junior AI Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of AI-driven features and support the enhancement of our platform by engaging in both new and ongoing projects through development, testing, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop AI and machine learning models to support and enhance our current workflows
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI technologies with other system components.
  • Ensure the scalability and efficiency of AI solutions.
  • Maintain and improve existing AI features, adapting to new technologies and methodologies.
  • Participate in code and design reviews to uphold high-quality standards.
  • Own the analysis & measurement of ad-hoc studies, measuring marketing effectiveness

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of version control tools, preferably Git.
  • Basic knowledge of Docker.
  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with AI and machine learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
  • Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage project timelines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Data Science fundamentals

Preferred Skills (Bonuses)

  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (GCP) and their AI services.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies for AI-driven application development.
  • Understanding of data engineering and the ability to work with large datasets.

Languages

  • English & Spanish

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience

  • Demonstrated ability to apply theoretical knowledge in practical scenarios, through traditional employment, freelance projects, open-source contributions, or coding bootcamps.
