TITLE: Accounting Intern

DEPARTMENT: Finance

REPORTING TO: Finance Director

OFFICE LOCATION: Madrid, Spain

Overview of the Team 

Join the GL team and work closely with the Finance Director, Senior Accountants and Staff Accountants based in our Finance Hub of Madrid and Kuala Lumpur, assisting with accounting activities. Additionally, your role will entail active collaboration with the Global Finance team members. This collaboration will be crucial in driving IPC's business strategies and shaping the overall employee experience through our diverse range of people programs and processes. This is a high-energy international team, that thrives on managing multiple priorities, work streams and stakeholders. Every day brings fresh challenges and exciting opportunities

Role Overview:

Collaborate with the accounting team to perform various accounting tasks such as post of journals, accounts in Oracle Cloud.Assist in conduct monthly bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial transactions recorded in the general ledger for the entities in EMEA, APAC and NA.Compare bank statements from the banks accounts of several countries with internal accounting records to identify discrepancies.Assist in the preparation of financial reports in excel and support other tasks related to the financial field.

Applying and complementing theoretical or practical knowledge, develop the work competencies and acquire a practical experience through different tasks and responsibilities.Demonstrating a curious and inquisitive mindset, asking insightful questions, and showing a genuine interest in learning beyond the assigned tasks.

Desired Skills and Experience to be Successful in this Role:

Studying a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.Excellent English and Spanish language skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Stron desired to gain practical experience and develop technical skills in accounting.Ability to quickly adapt to new environments, tasks and challenges encountered during the internship.Genuine excitement and passion for the work and the company goals.Take initiatives and anticipation of needs or challenges.Collaboration with colleagues, willing to support team goals and initiatives.High attention to detail.Time management and ability to prioritise tasks.Dynamic and quick learner.
