Join Axpo, Switzerland's largest producer of renewable energy, and help shape the Internal Audit function to support the company in its ambitious goal of creating a climate-friendly future. As a Senior Auditor specializing in Trading & Finance, you will interact daily with various business areas and stakeholders, executing audits across multiple locations, providing comprehensive insights into the energy business, and evaluating its risks and control environment. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage with strategic and organizational topics that significantly impact Axpo.

What you will do:

Develop knowledge and business awareness by building relationships with multiple stakeholders across the Axpo Group. Work with Audit Managers in planning audit engagements, identifying key risks, and applying effective audit techniques to deliver actionable insights. Protect company value and create sustainable improvement through end-to-end audit engagements, including scoping, planning, testing, stakeholder management, and reporting. Foster the utilization of data throughout the audit process, from risk assessment to execution and monitoring. Influence the business by agreeing on corrective actions and delivering clear, concise, and insightful audit reports. Participate in the development and implementation of internal audit methodologies, including agile working, AI, data analytics, and data-driven risk analysis. Share technical knowledge and learn from others to build a flexible and adaptable audit team.

What you bring & who you are:

Degree in Finance, Economics, or equivalent studies. Certified Audit Professional (e.g., CISA, CFA, CRMP) is advantageous. +4 years of experience in Internal Audit, External Audit, or Risk Management within Commodity and/or Energy Trading markets; alternatively, 4+ years of experience in the energy and commodity trading field. Profound understanding of the commodities trading industry (physical, shipping, derivatives) is desired. Proven track record of managing commodities trading audit engagements covering core risk areas such as Compliance, Market, Credit risk and Liquidity risk. Strong project management skills with the ability to execute projects involving multiple stakeholders. Experience with databases, analytics, and interpreting complex data. Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with empathy and assertiveness. Fluent in written and spoken English; German is a significant advantage, and other languages such as French or Spanish are welcomed.
