About the Role:
Hardware Engineer for Secure and Connected Smart Homes
As a Hardware Engineer, you'll be a key contributor in developing complex alarm systems for the smart home. We're seeking a highly driven and experienced individual who can bring both technical expertise and a collaborative spirit to the team.
Main Responsibilities:
Innovative Design: Design and develop schematics, layouts, and routing of new PCBs for our alarm systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards.
Workshop Leadership: Lead workshops for creating and documenting Hardware Design, fostering a collaborative environment for creative solutions.
Component Selection: Choose electronics components for new products, demonstrating a keen understanding of technology trends and advancements.
Testing and Troubleshooting: Develop and implement tests to verify new designs, troubleshoot existing systems, and ensure optimal performance.
Continuous Improvement: Provide recommendations for continuous improvement in design processes, supporting certifications and manufacturing.
Requirements:
Educational Background: BS in Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering, preferably M.Sc.
Experience: 6 years' experience in electronics schematics design and PCB routing, with valuable experience in Altium.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of digital and RF communication systems, experience with Low Power Devices, and knowledge of automated testing frameworks (LabView, TestStand is a plus).
Passionate Team Player: Enthusiastic about product development, with experience in the full product development cycle (concept to adoption).
Language Skills: Fluent in English and Spanish.
Collaborative Mindset: Proven ability to work in a multi-national and multi-cultural environment, building collaborative relationships.
