The purpose of the role

Work autonomously to maintain & grow the business via the development of profitable, delicious, nutritious & sustainable products &/or solutions for selected customers.

Solutions should be process stable, both internally and externally, whilst still ensuring food quality and safety standards are met.

Today Griffith Foods Europe has a vacancy for a talented Food Technologist  to complete our savoury snack team , based in Valls (Spain).

Responsabilites:

Support the R&D activities and responsibilities that

Will contribute to the growth of our product range and customer base

Support the development of new products for our targeted customers

Act as the technical contact for our snack customers in Continental Europe Develop presentations, organise and execute workshops and train the customer showing our products in applications & marketable formats, in cooperation with sales and marketing

Create innovative seasoning & coating systems for snack substrates - e.g.chips, tortilla's, (coated) nuts, rice cakes, extruded snacks, crackers,...

Look actively for innovative raw materials and systems Conduct raw material evaluations

Requirements:

Master/bachelor in Food Science or FoodTechnology or equivalent by proven experience A level of relevant and proven experience within the food industry Language skills: fluent in English. Spanish or Dutch will be valuable Project Management skills Experience in development and application of seasonings is a plus Passionate about food and customer focus Strong team player and able to work independently on product development projects Self-confident and enthusiastic in presenting product concepts to customers Creative, hands-on, accurate and well-organised  Flexible in willing to travel within Europeto support our customers
