Overview

IE University will become a new member of CIVICA- The European University of Social Sciences, that will unite ten leading European higher education institutions in the social sciences, humanities, business management and public policy. The expanded alliance will connect more than 72.000 students & (post) doctoral researchers, and 20.000 academic and administrative staff across Europe.

With the inclusion of IE University and SGH Warsaw School of Economics, the alliance is anchored even more firmly in Europe and reflects the diversity of higher education across the continent. The profile of the two new partners is closely aligned with the one shared by the existing CIVICA members in terms of expertise, core values, and university culture, but it also brings complementary strengths to the table. 

Responsibilities

Main tasks include:

Coordinate IEU's CIVICA alliance project involvement across the different work packages led by partners and coordinate Internally IEU's Involvement in each. Manage budget across different projects & strategic management and project planning, coordination of collaborators, budget control and payments, and partnership relationship. Coordinate the different research activities Involved in project delivery. Write reports and evaluations on implemented projects. Design a timetable to ensure timely delivery of project. Participate/organize meetings with Internal collaborators and external counterparts to assure timely delivery and full participation. Effectively communicate deadlines, objectives, concepts, and ideas. Must possess the ability to see the “big picture” behind projects, daily endeavors and transmit this vision to others, particularly when leading a project or working with internal stakeholders. Work closely with other key stakeholders to assure a full 360º view of collaboration with other partners, deliverables, deadlines.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree. Minimum 5 years of professional experience. Fluency in both English and Spanish, (verbal and written). Experience in managing & overseeing budgets. Strong project management skills & Attention to detail. Doer – yup, just doer. Able to think strategically and run complex projects with relatively little oversight. Experience in overseeing development and execution of a project. Ability to create a sense of community amongst the project teams. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
