About the Role
The Geochemistry Division in Malaga is seeking a Senior Laboratory Assistant to become part of a team that strives to exceed customer expectations by delivering quality results on time.
The role will be Full Time, and the primary responsibilities are the operation and calibration of AAS, ICPOES and ICPMS instrumentation.
The role will be day shift while training takes place, but the expectation is that the successful candidate will be available for a weekly rotating shift roster involving days, afternoons, and occasional weekend work.

The successful applicants will undertake a range of duties including the following:

Analysis of samples using AAS, ICPOES and ICPMS instrumentation Perform instrument/equipment calibration and maintenance as required Troubleshooting of instrument/quality issues Calibration of standards and instrument QC solutions QC raw data review of results Ensuring that client turn-around times are met Once training is complete, be able to work autonomously Other duties as the role progresses. The successful candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:
A tertiary qualification or Diploma in a Chemistry related field is preferred Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain focus Previous or similar instrumentation experience is desirable Be able to work within a team environment Be able to multi-task and produce accurate results Be willing to work shift work.
