Data Architect

Role Description

Define the architecture enablers and standards for the data strategy. They provide the vision and the guidelines for the data product delivery. They understand the impact of the various D&A scenarios (like data science or machine learning) on the overall enterprise architecture.

Key Objectives 

• Analyze the business requirements and design the target architecture.
• Propose a target architecture aligned with the EU Data Strategy.
• Understand the data models of the different source systems.
• Design the data models that will be created as part of the EU Data Platform.
• Collaborate in the definition and design of the Data Foundation at EU level to cover the main use cases allocated in the data platform.
• Participate in the design of the Datamarts at Enterprise level.
• Contribute to the evolution of the MLOps framework.

Main Responsibilities 

• They will be part of the Data Architecture Community working as a team mate in one of trains within the D&A Domain.
• They work closely with the Solution Architect of the train to be aligned in the target solution.
• They will be responsible for defining the target architecture for the stream in which it is assigned. 
• Communicate with the Product Owner to achieve the goal of the wagon.
• They work closely with the data scientist to operationalize the ML models within the Data Platform.
• They work closely with the Data Dev Engineer and Data Ops Engineer for the follow-up of the target architecture.

• BI tools mainly Tableau
• Nice to have:
