Software Engineer (Frontend) - DesignOps

Madrid, Spain

As a software engineer for the DesignOps Team, you will contribute to the development and operations of our Design System, Druids. With a team of frontend engineers and designers, you will improve the delivery and maintenance of our components and assets. You will also boost the usability of the Design System by iteratively improving our documentation & guidelines. You will help us innovate and scale to enable the Datadog product suite to expand as fast as ever.

What You’ll Do: 

Work closely with backend engineers, product managers and designers to inform/refine/validate design concepts Break down complex features into distributable engineering tasks and rollout plans Design and deliver features that have direct impact on thousands of users Experiment with and advocate for new systems, design patterns, and tooling Participate in hackathons, sync with other Front end engineers at the monthly demos meeting and yearly Front End summit Use and contribute to a best-in-class in-house design system Own meaningful parts of our service, improve performance and address scalability limits Work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment that values diversity of talent, excellence of product, and exciting engineering challenges at scale

Who You Are:

You are a JavaScript and frontend specialist You have a strong attention to detail and pixel-perfect focus You’re aware of the importance of good communication between designers and engineers, and you can easily discuss your work with a non-technical audience You have great product sense and keep the ultimate customer goal in mind (Bonus) You have owned or significantly contributed to a Design System
