Fragrance Proactive Evaluator

Scentmate by dsm-firmenich is looking for a full-time open-minded and driven evaluator to be based in Barcelona. The role consists on pro-active fragrance development to serve small to medium customers in Europe cross categories.

Key Responsabilites

Market & application understanding, driven by data :
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of the fragrance and consumer products European market.
• Understand consumers expectation and interest in driving this understanding through data
• Tuned to the evolution of market shares and trends to detect needs and gaps by category

Evaluation role focused on pro-active fragrance development (core focus) :
• Ability to plan for pro-active fragrance development & deliver on roadmap
• Guide perfumers in fragrance development
• Perform fragrance evaluation in-use against benchmark, with ensuring continuous improvement of protocols
• Qualify fragrances with method, create olfactive descriptions & structure data

Collaborative & digital mindset :
• Collaborate actively with the rest of the creative, marketing and sales teams
• Support team growth through olfactive training
• Eager to embrace new tools to serve the purpose of the position

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
• You have 5 years experience in an evaluation role.
• Perfumery education : fragrance house own training, ISIPCA, ESP, Montpellier…
• Fluent in English (high proficiency). French or Spanish is a big plus.
