Context And Mission The Quantic group is a BSC initiative to study Quantum computation. This novel paradigm of computation has the potential to exploit Quantum mechanics to perform high-performance computations of Quantum systems and optimization problems.The final goal of this project is the application of this new computing power to real-world problems. Our approach involves the development of novel HPC tools to simulate and study large scale Quantum circuits. Key Duties
- Study and implement parallel tools to simulate Quantum circuits
- Perform benchmarks of HPC simulation tools
- Education
- Completed degree in Physics, Computer science or equivalent
- Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
- Julia and Python programming languages
- Parallel and Distributed computing programming models: Threads, MPI, ...
- GPU computing programming model, specifically CUDA.
- Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
- Experience with GPU programming
- Numerical programming skills
- Competences
- Numerical methods and linear algebra
- Computer Architectures: ARM, x86_64, ...
- Vectorization
- Good level of English
- The position will be located at BSC within the CASE Department

- Duration: Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration
