The Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute (IJC) is a non-profit research institute based in Barcelona dedicated to advancing the understanding of leukemia and related disorders, in collaboration with the University of Barcelona and the Autonomous University of Barcelona. The IJC has laboratories in 5 clinical campuses: i) Hospital Clínic, ii) Hospital de Sant Pau and iii) Hospital Germans Trias Pujol iv) Hospital del Mar and v) Hospital Josep Trueta Girona. IJC serves as a collaborative center for basic researchers and physicians to work together on fundamental clinical and biological aspects of leukemia. The IJC offers an excellent work environment based on a multidisciplinary fusion of state-of-the-art ideas and facilities. 
We are seeking a Bioinformatician to support MDS and ALL groups from IJC Can Ruti. 
Main responsabilities

• Analysis of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS): Whole Exome Sequencing, Whole Genome Sequencing y Targeted Deep Sequencing.
• Analysis of RNA-seq
• Support in analysis of single-cell studies.
• Statistic Support
• Wet lab informatics support
• Web maintenance

• BSc degree in Bioinformatics or a related degree
• Proficient in writing and speaking in English
• Eager to learn and aptitude for teamwork
• Organized, flexible, proactive, self-motivated, and enthusiastic
• Experience in Python, R, MySQL, SQLite, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP5
• Experience in UNIX/LINUX environments
• Experience in NGS, RNA-seq , CHIP-seq samples analysis 
• Great ability to adapt to new situations, methods, and colleagues.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive attitude with initiative and ability to find solutions.
• Strong interest and motivation in biomedical research.

• Indefinite-term contract linked to the project “Ajuts per donar suport a l’activitat científica dels Grups de Recerca de Catalunya (SGR-Cat-2021)“ Grup de recerca de l’estudi de neoplàsies hematològiques (GRENHEM) referència 2021 SGR 00560, finançat per l’Agència de Gestió d’Ajuts Universitaris de Recerca (AGAUR)
• Full-time contract with the possibility to offer part-time
