System Integration Architect

Job Purpose

Vorwerk‘s Direct Sales project's enthusiastic team is stacking up the deck continuously enhancing Vorwerk’s Direct Sales Application, and simultaneously developing and rolling out a new global Direct sales platform with new digital products. We are up to combining Vorwerk’s long-standing, high-quality engineering experience with agile methodologies, leading-edge technologies and a laser-sharp focus on customer satisfaction. We are looking for a passionate, results-oriented, experienced, and self-organized system integration architect who wants to play a key role to support our Solution Architects.

As a System Integration Architect, you will deliver quality end-to-end solutions. As part of an agile team, you liaise closely with our product, infrastructure, and development team. You contribute to our agile ceremonies and support in refining our requirements until the definition of ready is met. Here, you collaborate closely with our solution architects and make sure that quality across integrated platforms is assured.

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE             

Must haves

·      Successfully completed Information Technology studies or an equivalent education

·  Experience with Front-end and Back-end application development leveraging programming languages such as NodeJS, HTML5, Groovy & Java Script.

·       Several years of relevant working experience within IT as a Techno-Functional expert, at least 10 years in the required field of expertise in SAP UI5,  SAP BTP(HANA DB)

·       Experience with Core Data Services (CDS),  Data Modelling, Multi-tenant aware applications creation, ODATA, and REST Service developments

·       Strong experience with web technologies and principles

·       Ability to design and implement scalable and highly available systems including resilience and stability patterns. Basic knowledge of testing, performance, and code review

·       Strong communication skills, also very good at writing and speaking in English

·       Extensive knowledge of technical requirement gathering, testing and system monitoring

·       Experienced in working on agile projects and usage of Jira and Confluence

 Nice to haves

·       Software development background with Object oriented or functional programming

·       Experience with distributed applications in BTP( HANA DB)

·       Knowledge in some of the following areas: SAP ERP, SAP CRM

·       Experience with New Relic and/ or similar tools

·       Software development best practices in your current role.

 

MAIN ACTIVITIES

·       Understand and evaluate the functional limitations of the system and the overall solution architecture

·       Understand and verify numbers behind the effort estimates of the Product Backlog items

·       Interpret results of the non-functional (performance, penetration & security) testing

·       Contribute to Sprint Scope and Sprint priorities for the Development Team considering functional limitations

·       Ensures that all the User Stories planned for the Sprint are confirmed to the definition of ready

·       Approves the low-level solution design per User story

·       Defines technical acceptance criteria for User Stories 

·       Ensures availability of technical user stories and aligns with the Product Owner

·       Co-ordinate with the testing team during the testing phases. Collaborate with cross-functional SMEs to lead performance and penetration tests.

·       Takes care of non-functional requirements are considered, to ensure operability, performance, and maintainability of the solution (execution of batch jobs: frequency & responsibility BIZ vs IT, authorizations, interfaces, etc. )

·       Proactively provides feedback to the Dev team and encourages the Product Owner to provide early feedback on the developed features

·       Supports Dev Team with clarification of User Stories during the Sprint Planning and ensures, that also the PO is informed

·       Identify & define technical debts

·       Enable constructive communication between the product owners, developers, testers, and DevOps
